Open Question: Im getting divorced can i take the vehicle she has that is not in her name at all?

I am getting divorced in Iowa and we have a vehicle loan that is in mine and my step dads name but she makes the payments, but usually late on the payments. Can myself or my step dad go and take the vehicle since we are the only ones on the loan?? She will not talk to me in anyway shape or form.
